Course Proposal (Terminate an Existing Course)

Before submitting this request form, you must discuss the potential termination with the applicable Section Head (based on the course subject code) and any other faculty in the department who have taught this course or similar content. You must get their pre-approval and assurance that:

• they weren't planning to offer the course in the near year or two,
• they have a sufficient number of other courses in the catalog (without this course) to meet their teaching load requirements,
• and the termination is in alignment with the overall goals of the section.

NOTE - As each course may have unique elements that need to be addressed, there is no "blanket" termination of multiple courses. Faculty must submit individual requests for each course to be terminated.
