Course Proposal (Changes to an Existing Course)

Before submitting this request form, you must discuss the potential changes with the applicable Section Head (based on the proposed course subject code) and any other faculty in the department who have taught this course or similar content. You must get their pre-approval and assurance that the proposed changes:
  • align with similar courses in the department,
  • would still allow relevant faculty to offer the course,
  • and is in alignment with the overall goals of the section.


ALSO - If a particular section would like to make a blanket change to a number of courses (e.g. "we want to add a new lower division pre-requisite to most upper division LTWL courses"), please ensure that the Section Head has notified Alyssa Simons ahead of time. Then, the Section Head must submit one course change request (for one of the relevant course numbers) and include the full list of courses to replicate the changes to in the "Comments" field of that request. 

Once you have support from the applicable Section Head and other relevant faculty, carefully fill out the form below. Contact Alyssa Simons if you would like confirmation of the current course elements for a paritcular course, to confirm the full extent of changes you would like to make.
